7-Day Epic Package

Day 1 (Wednesday, April 22nd)

Arrival in Wellington

  • Arrive at Wellington International Airport (WLG).
  • Transfer to your Hotel.
  • Check in and settle in.
  • Evening: Welcome dinner – showcasing local New Zealand cuisine

Day 2 (Thursday, April 23rd)

Culture & Creativity

  • Morning: Powhiri with Atiawa – Wharewaka
  • Traditional Māori Waka Tour on Wellington Harbour with Te Wharewaka o Pōneke. Immerse yourselves in Māori culture and history.
  • Lunch: Waterfront dining. – Wharewaka
  • A moderately long run on the event’s course (separately for runners and MT Bikers)
  • Evening: Explore Wellington’s vibrant craft beer scene.

Day 3 (Friday, April 24th)

Pre-Race Prep

  • Morning: Relax and prepare for the race. Light stretching, gear check.
  • Late Morning: Event Directors’ Breakfast – a special gathering with the Faultline Ultras event organisers. Get last-minute tips, ask questions, and connect with other runners.
  • Shake out run with one of our ambassadors
  • Priority Registration/Bib collection 
  • Afternoon: Optional gentle walk around Wellington Botanic Garden and ride on the iconic Cable Car for panoramic views.
  • Evening: Carb-load dinner at a casual yet quality restaurant. Early night.

Day 4 (Saturday, April 25th)

Faultline Ultras Race Day 1

  • Race Day! Participants will be at the event.
  • Support crew/spectators can enjoy exploring Wellington city centre, Te Papa Museum (Museum of New Zealand), or simply relax.

Day 5 (Sunday, April 26th)

Faultline Ultras Race Day 2 & Recovery

  • Race Day / Recovery Day! Participants continue their race or begin recovery.
  • For those finished or supporting, can pick from a handful of self manaded programs (Zealandia Ecosanctuary, Mt Victoria Lookout, Matiu Somes Island, etc ) 
  • Recovery with cold and hot therapy, saunas and massage
  • Evening: Casual celebration dinner to recount race experiences.

Day 6 (Monday, April 27th)

Leisure & Exploration

  • Morning: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast.
  • Recovery sessions with cold and hot therapy, saunas and massage at NZCIS.
  • Afternoon: Weta Workshop Experience – a guided tour behind the scenes of movie magic.
  • Options: Explore Cuba Street’s quirky shops and cafes
  • Evening: Farewell dinner at a restaurant.

Day 7 (Tuesday, April 28th)

Exploration & Goodbye

  • Enjoy a final New Zealand breakfast.
  • Transfer to Wellington International Airport (WLG) for departure.
